Graduation Gift for the Artist

I absolutely love the way this necklace turned out.
As it was out on my workbench, I just felt so motivated & enthused. Then after photographing and while preparing to list the item in my etsy shop, I found out why. The descriptions of my jewelry truly reflect my mood during the listing process.
I first grabbed the dictionary, as to make sure I wasn't mistaken that graduate had both meanings. (My Junior High & High School years forced way too many "vocabulary words" into my mind. Often, I'll know there is a better/bigger word for what I am trying to communicate, but the actual word has been hidden in the folds of my memory. Thanks Watson.)
This is what I found: Graduate.v. 1)To be granted an academic degree or diploma 2)To change gradually or by degrees.
So, I wasn't inspired, yet. Then off to my sources for metaphysical attributes of the stones. This, combined with my trusty definition of Graduate did it. Here is the resulting description, straight off of Etsy.

Graduation Gift for the Artist - A Necklace

Graduate.v. 1)To be granted an academic degree or diploma 2)To change gradually or by degrees.

A center section of Hessonite Garnets in graduated shades and Cultured Freshwater Pearls in graduated sizes. Sterling silver chain. Sidebars feature graduated Cultured Freshwater Pearls and a hand-cut Citrine rondell. Sterling silver lobster clasp. 18 inches in length.

Hessonite Garnet is referred to as the stone of creativity. Pearls are said to enhance personal integrity and focus attention. Citrine enhances creativity and strengthens self confidence. A lovely combination for the artist in each of us.

Well, I like it. What do you think? Please feel free to leave a comment. It makes me happy to know someone is reading my blog!
